dumping rubbish

Postby mel on Sun Jan 31, 2010 6:16 pm

i have recently noticed while walking around the village lots of rubbish in black bags just dumped , it drives me crazy  . i just cannot understand how the idiots who do this think that it is ok . there is lots along the new greenway path, the idiots have to carry all this junk and then throw it in the bushes, i just don't get how this is easier than putting it in your bin? i also do wonder what the brainless idiots actually think will happen to the rubbish. there are vacuum cleaners and old paddling pools and allsorts, i don't like but can understand the odd crisp packet or empty can, but this is bags of household rubbish that they have had to lug along the path.
although i know it is not the councils fault i have e mailed alan charles as i think once the idiots see rubbish dumped they for some stupid reason think you have to bring all your rubbish and dump it .................................... arrgh idiots
i'll have a pint of carling darling.

Not wishing to condone this beheaviour in any way but maybe the lack of household collections during the bad weather may have contributed and also the fact that certain large items have to be arranged to be collected for a separate fee - think its £15 for a washing machine (though John Lewis took my old one for £9 - but they were delivering a new one at the same time).

But it isn't that far to a council tip - although the nearest one I know is between Beighton and Woodhouse and they dont check to see that you are actually a Sheffield rates payer - not that far out the way for most people is it?

Seems the folks in the newish estate off Walford Road think they've got their own refuse site i.e Killamarsh Greenway. If it isn't tree prunings and gardening rubbish it's 10 carrier bags of Chritmas leftovers. What a bunch of scrubbers!
